Mononymously known as HUGHES or HUE; a rapper from Bridgeport, Connecticut, whose elevated lyrical perspective has helped bring him noted acclaim from his peers. Emerging in 2010, Siul Hughes went on to build a name for himself on the live circuit before releasing his adeptly produced hip-hop tracks to the public.

On May 14, 2013, Hughes self-released his first full-length album, Lastname Hughes, to generally positive reviews. Following several digital collaborations & live shows with both local & touring artists, he released his second full-length studio album, The Book of IZA, on September 15, 2016. The album is his second self-release, in addition to being his first self-publication, as it accompanies a book of poetry, The Book of IZA: Memoirs & Mantras, released via Amazon & Amazon Kindle the same day. The album received widespread acclaim via popular streaming services including Spotify & Tidal. In 2016, The Book of IZA was featured in the Ghetto Blaster Magazine as part of the "Best of 2016" list compiled by CT indie label-head and touring artist Ceschi Ramos.

FOR LACK OF BETTER DESCRIPTION.......

"... Hughes makes music that can sit comfortably next to work by Mick Jenkins, Isaiah Rashad or Kendrick Lamar but is more deeply rooted in East Coast style with clear references to boom bap without necessarily fitting into that box."

Ceschi Ramos, "Best of 2016", Ghetto Blaster Magazine
